Women’s Forum of VLBJCAS celebrated International Women’ Day on 09.03.2020 in the college premises. Dr. K.Shunmuga Sundaram, Principal, VLBJCAS, in his Special Address greeted the members of faculty and quoted the life of women who achieved in their lives amidst all hurdles and have exhibited leadership qualities through their struggles.
The Chief Guest, J. Swarnalatha, Founder and Managing Trustee of SWARGA Foundation, in her address narrated about Primary Progressive Scierosis, which changed her life and confined her to wheel chair. She cited her struggles to lead life, which motivated the listener and explained how she enthused herself to live and not to take her life away due to depression.
Her fight to survive a normal life drove her to find solutions for people bound in wheel chair. Her initiation to construct ramps in public places, especially Railway Stations, Bus Stands, Police Station and such public places lead a revelation to the listeners.
