SREC arranges massive Kavalan App installation Program for 1100+ Women

Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, as a part of the international women’s day celebration, arranged an awareness cum installation program on Kavalan SOS app with the support of Tamil Nadu Police Department.

This program was held simultaneously in three organizations at once. Over 1150 working women and girl students actively participated in the event and successfully downloaded the app. Dr.M.Senthamil Selvi, Head and S.Jansi Rani, Professor, Dept of IT, SREC co-ordinated the event.

The first session of the event was conducted for the women faculty & students of Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College and Sri Ramakrishna Polytechnic College.

Kanagasundaram, Inspector, Thudiyalur addressed the students on the Impact of Social Media on today’s youth and he also emphasized on the importance of service examinations. Sub Inspector Damodharan, Thudiyalur enlightened the gathering by calling out cases studies and how to keep our data safe in social media.

Sub Inspector Anand, Maintenance and Cyber Crime, Coimbatore District conveyed the importance of the Kavalan app and guided the students to successfully download and install the app in their mobile phones.

The second session was conducted for the women employees of Roots Industries, Coimbatore. About 150 women employees participated in the awareness program. Dr. Sampath, Head Training & HR Management, Roots welcomed the gathering.The final session of the day was conducted in the Emerald Jewel Industries Coimbatore.

Around 250 women employee successfully installed the Kavalan app. This session was handled by Senthil Kumar, Sub Inspector, Thudiyalur and Anand, Sub Inspector Maintenance and Cyber Crime, Coimbatore District.
