Minister of State for Home Affairs, G.Kishan Reddy inaugurated Atal incubation centre Makerspace at Rathinam Group of Institutions recently. The ATAL Incubation Centre will be a platform where youth can share and learn from each other. The Chief guest honoured the participants who participated and attended in the Hackathon that was held in the college earlier.
During the event, the students team from Virudhunagar R.Lakshmanan, R.Raman, S.Mohammed Arshad and V.Ramjiwith who made the product “Smart hearing aid for hearing impaired” received a seed fund of Rs.1 Lakh to take up their innovative idea for building a simple and cost-effective ear implant that helps the hearing impaired patients by birth to sense sounds through vibration-based cochlear implantation.
In his address the Minister said that there are around 700 million Indians of age less than 25 years. He said if they were educated and trained adequately, the people would contribute to the major democratic dividend. Chairman of Rathinam Group of Institutions Dr. Madhan A Senthil, Director Shima Senthil, Chief Executive Officer R. Manickam, Principal, staff and students were present in the event.
