The Robotics and Automation Engineering department of PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore and M/S TAL Manufacturing Solutions Limited, Pune have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on 20th March 2017 at PSG Tech, Coimbatore for collaborative research in Robotics. The main objective of the MoU includes setting up a PSG TAL Centre for excellence in Robotics at PSG Tech Coimbatore, through which joint research activities in robotics will be carried out.
TAL will support PSG Tech in design syllabus/curriculum for the department of Roboticsand Automation Engineering according to the industrial needs and also will promote employment and skill development training programmes at PSG Tech. This will help to enhance academic interest between TAL and PSG Tech as a part of industry and institution interaction.
The course will exchange special training in Robotics and Automation to the students of PSG Tech. TAL employees will be deputed as visiting professors for teaching on Robotics and Automation subjects. Students of PSG will be allowed for industrial visit at TAL, Pune.
For signing ceremony, PSG Tech was represented by Principal Dr. Rudramoorthy, while TAL was represented by Chief Operating Officer (COO) AmitBhingurde.
