Laws & rights that empower women discussed at SRCW

The Women Empowerment Cell of Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science for Women (SRCW) organized a Legal Awareness Program on Jan 30, 2020 that was sponsored by National Commission for Women, New Delhi.

Several resource persons addressed on different topics that focus on women’s rights and legal acts. Latha Sundaram, Founder and Managing Trustee, Aram Foundation Charitable Trust spoke on ‘Women and Indian Constitution, Labour Laws’
Dr.S.Durgalaklshmi, Principal i/c, Government Law College, Salem spoke on Family Law, Women and Reproductive Health Rights. S.Raveendran, Advocate, High Court, Coimbatore spoke on Criminal and Civil Law. Latha, Inspector of Police, C1-Katoor Police Station, Covai spoke on procedural Guidelines and Cyber Law.
The program enabled the students of the college and faculty to know more about the laws and rights of women.
