Shankar IAS Academy to train Kumaraguru students in civil service preparation

Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts and Science (KCLAS) launched Kumaraguru Civil Service Academy in association with Shankar IAS Academy, Coimbatore on January 24, 2020. Shankar Vanavarayar, Joint Correspondent of Kumaraguru Institutions and Dr. Vaishnavi Shankar, Director of Shankar IAS Academy signed the MoU to launch the Academy in the Kumaraguru Campus. Through this MoU, faculty from Shankar IAS Academy will be training the students of Kumaraguru Institutions.

Ambassador N. Parthasarathi, IFS who was the chief guest of this inauguration inspired the students to stay committed to the goals and motivated them to set out and achieve their Civil Services aspirations. He also encouraged the students to realize that continuous effort, not strength or intelligence is the key to unlocking our potential. He shared his experiences as IFS officer in various countries across the globe and motivated the students to be citizens who will bring change in the community.

A press-release from KCT said Kumaraguru Civil Services Academy offers holistic training and education for students of KCLAS and KCT in the Kumaraguru Campus. The multi-model learning will include coaching for exams, leadership development, communication training, interactions with civil servants and field studies in public offices. Students will also form peer learning group, where they can search for, collect, review, analyze and apply their knowledge as per their individual capacity.

They will engage each other intellectually, debate each other’s views, reaching an agreement or a disagreement. Students can pursue this along with their UG or PG program and the three years training model will ensure that students on graduation will be ready to appear for civil service exams.
