Ambulance Drones’ importance discussed at CIT

The Department of Mechanical Engineering of Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore organized a one day workshop (hands on training) on Ambulance Drone Workshop on 10.1.2020 under the sponsorship of TEQIP-III. The workshop mainly focused on the importance of developing the ambulance drones because in the present day city life, road congestion are very high due to which the traveling time for the ambulance increases and it may lead to lose of life.

The drone comprises of a medical kit which is capable of reaching emergency situations faster than the ambulance S.Arivazhagan and Ragul.K from Academy of Science and Robotics (ASRO) were the resource persons who immersed the students throughout the day on ambulance drones. Workshop had 50 students from various years of the Mechanical Engineering, ECE and EEE departments. Dr.V.Selladurai–Principal, Dr.K.Marimuthu – Head of the Department, Dr.G.Suganya Priyadharshini, Mr.K.Karthik, Mr.S.K.Pradeep Mohan – Coordinators were present during the program
