Extreme cold weather in New Delhi hinders bikers, train and flight

Delhi’s temperature is getting dead-cold for the past few days and today morning, the temperature was 2.6 degrees Celsius, making Delhi trump Shimla which was 3 degrees Celsius . 20+ planes have been diverted, 500 of them got delayed and 4 flights have been cancelled. Around 30 trains are running late.

 

Several airline that operate in India have announced that they are impacted by the bad weather and they mentioned that the flights will be delayed. Tata’s Vistara has announced that it will give full refund or provide alternative travel options.

 

Due to the thick fog covering the nation’s capital that has been around Delhi, 6 have died, reported NDTV. Out of the six, two were children. They were in a car and were in Greater Noida. The car ran into a canal and the members in it were dead. It is presumed that the death was due to fog.

The normal life of people in Delhi has been affected by this prevailing weather condition. Due to the fog, bikers and car drivers are keeping the headlights on and moving at a slow pace. Road vendors’ business is also affected.
