The lunch gathering of VIT Alumni Association Coimbatore Chapter took place on 1.12.2019 at Kasthuri Sreenivasan Art Gallery, Coimbatore. Around 100 Alumni members of VIT attended the event along with their family members. Chancellor of VIT Dr.G.Viswanathan graced the occasion where he addressed the gathering and interacted with the Alumni members. Dr.G.Viswanathan launched the kindle book of one of the alumni members Mr. Thauvha Kuzhandai. He also launched VITAA TV – The Official YouTube and Channel of the VIT Alumni Association. The Alumni members greeted Dr.G.Viswanathan for VIT being recognized as Institute of Eminence. The Office bearers and Executive committee members of the Coimbatore chapter of VIT Alumni Association were honored with awards during the event by Dr.G.Viswanathan. The alumni also celebrated his 81st Birthday
The gathering also had a stall based interaction by Avathar foundation and Project Puthri which enabled women Alumni members to check out career opportunities post break and about social initiatives to contribute towards empowerment of girls in need.
