Tomorrow being the World Water Day, NGO Siruthuli has organised an awareness event to sensitize the residents of Coimbatore on the importance of conserving water and the need for sustainable management of freshwater resources.
A mobile vehicle will tour across the city stationing in a few important junctures and sensitize the public on water harvesting techniques, economical use of water and highlight the sewage contamination at Noyyal river basins.
Deputy Commissioner of Traffic, S. Saravanan will flag off the rally at Thomas Park, Race Course at around 7 am.
The vehicle will be tour to the following places: (timings tentative)
- Race Course : 7 – 9am
- Ukkadam : 10 – 11am
- GH : 11 – 12pm
- Gandhipuram : 2 – 3pm
- Saibaba Colony : 3 – 4pm
- Brookefields : 5 – 7pm
Public are requested to take part in this event and contribute towards conserving water for a better tomorrow.
