PSG Tech signs MoU with Probyto

PSG tech signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Probyto, a data science company to promote research driven development of data applications. The aim of the MoU is to facilitate the exchange and sharing of ideas and resources, organizing of joint conferences, practical training/thesis support and internship opportunities for students. People from both sides will be benefitted and this MoU will help to develop in-house working prototypes of data applications with support from Applied Mathematics and Computational Sciences Department.

Dr. Rudramurthy , Principal, PSG Tech said, “Every year we produce around 40 to 45 Phd’s and we have nearly 600 researchers closely working with us. This will be a great opportunity for the students and the researchers to innovate new solutions for the society. Agriculture is one main area where we need to focus more in means of technology and innovations. It’s sad to witness that we still use the outdated systems for cultivation and consumption. It is because of the out dated system we tend to waste so much water, resources and the soil are spoiled by pesticides. I’m glad the current government has taken steps by signing agreements with the Israel government who are the innovators and experts in the field of agriculture. India is called the IT giant, but in reality we are only servicing for countries like United Kingdom and United States of America. I hope this will be changed in the upcoming years”.

“Data has become oil of 21st century. We believe the core of data science application resides in the algorithms and technology acts as the support system for it. Data’s fuel some largest corporations in the world and also plays a pivotal role in government policy and decision making. Probyto aims at low cost scalable data solution provider for Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSME) in India and lead international market with our cutting-edge advanced algorithms. We will build capabilities to establish a center of excellence in PSG Tech to serve the local economy for its data application needs,” said Karthik, alumni of PSG Tech and Director of Probyto.
