Pepperfry launches first studio in Coimbatore

Pepperfry, India’s No.1 Furniture and Home products marketplace, launched its first distinctive experiential centre – Studio Pepperfry – at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. In line with its aim to build the largest omni-channel network in the furniture and home segment, Pepperfry has established 66 studios (owned and franchise) in 24 cities across India. South India, which forms the biggest market for Pepperfry, alone, houses 23 Studios across Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Mysore, Hubbali, Trivandrum and now Coimbatore.

The Studio which is in partnership with SSVR Enterprises is located at Peelamedu and spreads across an area of 1575 Sq. Ft. Through the Studio, Pepperfry’s consumers from Coimbatore can now experience first-hand the variety of finishes, cutting-edge designs and quality of products that are available for purchase across their portals. Additionally, interior design experts at the Studio offer free in-store design consultancy to help furnish their homes as per their requirements and aspirations.

Pepperfry launched the first Studio in 2014 and over the years the Studios have enabled Pepperfry in enhancing customer engagement and contributes more than 30% to Pepperfry’s overall business. Pepperfry aims at building the largest omni-channel network in the country, and in an effort towards it, Pepperfry pioneered a unique combination of owned and franchise Studios. The franchise studios not only help penetrate into niche markets but also promote and encourage new-age entrepreneurs in the country. This unique business model is a profitable proposition for interested partners with high potential for scaling up as it does not require the partner to hold product inventory, and is based on 100% price parity. It offers a lucrative commission structure where the franchise owners can benefit by earning commission on each online transaction made at the franchise studio.

In the South, Pepperfry has expanded its Studio network across four states namely Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Kerala. South India contributes more than 40% to the overall Pepperfry business, thus making it the largest market for the company. Consumers in in the region are highly evolved online buyers and Pepperfry is focused on penetrating further in the region through owned and franchise Studios.
