25th Graduation Day of Sri Ramakrishna Arts and Science College for Women
Sri Ramakrishna Arts and Science College for Women celebrated its 25th Graduation Day on 21.9.2019 at SNR Auditorium. Dr.Vaidehi Vijayakumar, Vice-Chancellor, Mother Teresa Women’s University, Kodaikanal was the Chief Guest of the occasion. 341 UG Degrees and 126 PG Degrees were awarded to the graduands.
D.Lakshminarayanswamy, Joint Managing Trustee, SNR Sons Charitable Trust who presided over the event, in his presidential address conveyed to the young graduates that education is the most powerful weapon with which they could change the future. He felt proud that the college has produced 467 empowered female graduates and shared with them the importance of ethics and values.
He said a fantastic human being must possess knowledge, control over emotional behavior, obedience, social order, humility and good health to serve the society. “Without ethics education becomes waste”, he emphasized. He urged the graduates to uphold values that they have learned in the college and carry them through out their life.
He encouraged them to be learners for life as learning is a life-time activity. “Lift the human spirit… Always respect those who are less powerful than you”, he suggested.
The Chief Guest in her address emphasized on the choices that the youth make in their career. She said ” At times you may feel like you are not in charge. However, don’t ever forget that you are the CEO of your life. Your everyday choices will decide how you accumulate either assets or liabilities. You will carry personal balance sheet with you all your life. Knowingly or unknowingly, you make choices every day and let it be the best”
The Chief Guest and the dignitaries gave away the degree certificates and medals.
