National Service Scheme units (NSS) of Kongunadu Arts and Science College organized a one day Orientation Programme for NSS Volunteers on the topic “Role of NSS volunteers” on 03.09.2019.
Dr. R. Velmurugan, NSS Program Officer of the college welcomed the gathering Dr. M. Lekeshmanaswamy, Principal delivered the Presidential Address. The orientation was inaugurated by the Chief Guest V. Malarmangai, Training Associate, NSS-Empanelled Training Institute (NSS-ETI), Avinashilingam University, Coimbatore.
She explained the benefits of NSS, skill enhancement and knowledge dissemination for improving technology to the rural area and she briefed on Swachh Bharat, Unnat Bharat Abiyan, Swachh Bharat Summer Internship, Jal Sakthi Abiyan, FIT India Programme and other Central Government and State Government Projects to the students.
Dr. V. Chinnusamy, CEO offered Felicitation. He motivated the students to serve the nation. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Dr. K. Palanivel, NSS- PO.
