Former President Dr. Abdul Kalam’s Death Anniversary was observed at our School today. Hemalatha Sashikumaar, Correspondent, presided over the function. Sudhakar of Grade IX welcomed the gathering.
Roshini Benazir K, School Pupil Leader, of Grade X and Rithanya S, Assistant Pupil Leader, of Grade X showered floral petals over the portrait of Dr. Kalam and paid homage. Other student leaders and all the students followed suit. Furthermore, all the students and staff observed two minute silence for the great leader.
Students enjoyed the Audio Visual presentation of Abdul Kalam’s life and achievements. Students also sang the exclusive anthem penned by poet Vairamuthu. Students were very curious to witness the handwriting of Dr. Kalam through his special poem, which was gifted to the school by himself. Later, students of four Houses – Agni, Prithvi, Trishul and Brahmos staged 4 inspiring incidents from the life of Dr. Kalam. Program was concluded by the vote of thanks rendered by Nivetha of Grade VI.
