PSG Sports Club has been successfully conducting an All India Basketball Tournament for Men for the past 54 years. The country leading basketball teams take pride in participating in this tournament.
This year, this tournament is scheduled from 9th to 13th August 2019. Eight leading teams from our Country have been selected for this men’s tournament. In Group “A” Chennai – Income Tax, Delhi – Indian Air Force, Kapurthala – RCF, Kerala – KSEB & Group “B” Delhi – Indian Army, Chennai – Indian Bank, Lonavala – Indian Navy and Chennai – Customs. All most all the top Indian players are playing in their respective clubs.
The winning teams in the Men section will be awarded cash prize as follows Winners Rs.1, 00, 000, Runners Rs.50, 000, Third Place Rs.25, 000 Fourth Place Rs.15, 000,Best player award Rs.10,000,Total – 2,00,000 Lakhs Cash Prize.
The All India Tournament for Men will begin on the evening of 9th August 2019 inaugurated by G. Srinivasan, Managing Director, Srinivasan Associates Pvt. Ltd., In the presence of Dr. K. Prakasan, Principal (I/c), PSG College of Technology and Dr.Rudramoothy, President, PSG Sports Club & Director, PSG Care. The teams will play on league basis till 11th August 2019. The Semifinals & Finals will be on 12th & 13th August 2019 respectively. All the matches will be conducted at PSG TECH Indoor Sports Complex (Wooden Flooring). Daily 4 matches start from 5 p.m. onwards.
Sumit Sharan , Commissioner of Police, Coimbatore City will be the Chief Guest of the Prize Distribution Ceremony which will be held on 13th Aug. L.Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee, PSG Institutions will grace the occasion. G.Selvaraj, President, Coimbatore District Basketball Association, Joint Managing Director, CRI Pumps will be the Guest of Honor.
Mr.L.Gopalakrishnan Managing Trustee PSG Institutions will preside over the final day function. Thiru. Sumit Sharan, IPS Commissioner of Police, Coimbatore City kindly consented to the Chief Guest, Mr.G.Selvaraj President Coimbatore District Basketball Association, Joint Managing Director of C.R.I.Pumps will be the Guest of Honors. Dr.R.Rudramoorthy President PSG Sports Club and Director, PSG Care & Mr. T. Palanisamy, Hon. Secretary, PSG Sports Club heads the coordination of the event.
