FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO) organized an event on the investment opportunities for women in Coimbatore on 18.7.2019 at The Residency Tower. FLO Coimbatore Chapter hosted the event. K.Rajamani, IAS, District Collector of Coimbatore was the Chief Guest of the program.
The event was conducted under the Presidency of Harjinder Kaur Talwar, National President of FLO. The organization explored an array of investment opportunities for women in Coimbatore like Textile Business, Engineering sector, IT, Agriculture, Coaching centers, Tourism and Food Industry.
Harijinder Kaur Talwar said “As FLO President, my vision for the organization is to be the thought leader for working women of India. Flo’s motto is ‘Power To Empower’, and I would like to add power to empower women economically. Therefore many of the programs will focus on economic empowerment of women at grassroots, middle & senior levels”
The Chief Guest in his address said that Coimbatore is a model for other districts and the role of women in reshaping and elevating the district is tremendous. He highlighted the ease of doing business in Coimbatore to the gathering. He conveyed how the government projects and infrastructure could provide their investment a strong footing. He suggested the FLO focuses not just on the improvement of Industry but on the society including agriculture, education , health and tourism as well.
Though it is the first time the collector has met FLO, he said the office of District Collector is ready to interact and sort any matter that needs his attention ” come with an agenda, whatever things you like to discus with us, we can interact and sort out any issue before you.”
