Akshit Foundation honors Prakash Murugan Nadar

Akshit Foundation which is serving the people of Tamil Nadu for the past 25 years by providing blood donation services,organized an award ceremony to honor Prakash Murugan Nadar, a differently abled person who holds the world record for donating blood 120 times.

The award ceremony was held in Coimbatore Gujarathi Samaj on July 7, 2019.

Arun Gokuldas, Patron, Akshit Foundation was the Chief Guest,
K.K.Ravi, Managing Trustee, Akshit Foundation presided over the event.

Talking to The Covai Mail about the activities of the foundation, K.K.Ravi conveyed that ” More than a lakh lives have been saved by the foundation, so far.The foundation’s activites also extends to adoption of kids affected by Thalassemia. It provides blood and medicines for the 50 kids with Thalaseemia who require 200-300 units blood per month and medical support.

It also receives blood requests from
150 hospitals. Besides blood donation, it conducts environment awareness programs, works for the welfare of differently abled kids,
adopts them & provides education and does women empowerment activites. It identifies outstanding blood donors and honors them occassionaly. In that regard today’s event was held.
