K.P.Ramasamy, Chairman, KPR Group of Companies and K.P.D.Sigamani, Managing Director, KPR IAS Academy graced the occasion with their presence. The inaugural saw the participants of the new batch attend the occasion with their parents. Nearly 400 students participated in the event.

K.P.D.Sigamani, in his address said “The Guests in front of you now as IAS, IPS, IRS and IFS officers were once participants of the academy, like you. Our vision is that all selected candidates have to work for the change and development of our country. Currently more than 500 candidates are preparing for civil service exams in our academy. We are confident of creating more and more civil servants from our academy to serve for the welfare and upliftment of the downtrodden.”

K.P.Ramasamy traced the origin of the academy and the vision to be of support to the youth of Tamil Nadu in making their Civil Service Examination dreams come true.  “Last batch, we had produced 9 successful officers and in the previous year we had produced 6. We see an increase in the number of successful candidates rise every year and our aim this year is to bring out 20 new successful IAS/IPS officers from Tamil Nadu.  We have valuable faculties; we have a wonderful infrastructure and everything to guide our students to great heights.”

Sathish, IRS, Deputy Director of Investigation said “I see a lot of parents here and they have come here because they always think of you (their children). They want you to come up in life and contribute to the society. If any of you are here with a casual attitude, you must know that you are your parents’ son/daughter and they don’t want you to be just that. They want you to make your own identity.

Divya, IPS while addressing the gathering said “I wanted to be a doctor and entered into Engineering (because of parents’ wish) and then after Engineering, I entered to try my hand in TNPSC. I cleared Group -II and landed in Auditing Department.  But my dream to be an IAS was there. I prepared for that side by side. I would suggest you all to have a contingency plan.  Having a Plan-B would guide you further on how to approach competitive exams with confidence.”
