SRCW promotes 100% Voting Participation

Keeping in mind about the upcoming elections, Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science for Women (SRCW) joined hands with the office of Coimbatore District Election Officer and organized an awareness program for its students.

The program’s chief objective was to emphasize on achieving 100% voting participation (Voter Turnout) in the upcoming election. K.Chitra, Principal, SRCW asked the students to fully utilize their voting rights and strongly advised  them not to sell their vote under any cause.   Shivakumar, Chief Nodal Officer, Coimbatore was invited to address the students about the objective.  He highlighted that students can easily register their names for voting in the elections via online or through the dedicated android application that has been made available to them. He requested to uphold democracy and vote to select their leaders.

We learned that wall posters highlighting the awareness and objective were received by the students from the office of Coimbatore District Election Officer side and it will be pasted inside the college campus to keep the students reminded of their duty.

A pledge was read by P.Selvi, NSS Program Officer, SRCW highlighting the message of upholding democracy and voting fairly; and it was repeated by the students.
