KCT Students received Scholarship worth Rs. 1.10 Crores

KCT’s idea of Mahatma Gandhi Scholarship Award was conceived during 2006-07. Since then KCT has rewarded thousands of its students with a scholarship of `10,000 each, based on various aspects of their performance in academics, sports and other special achievements.

Last year, 1025 students received the scholarship. A sum of `1.02 Cr. was awarded. For the year 2019, 1075 students receive the Mahatma Gandhi Scholarship Award for excellence in Academics and a sum of `1.10 Crores was awarded.

 Parents of all the awardees were invited to take part in this prestigious award ceremony of their children. Hon’ble. Shri. Justice V. Ramasubramanian, Judge, High Court of Telangana, Hyderabad awarded the students with the Mahatma Gandhi Scholarship on 23 March, 2019 between 09.30am and 12.30pm at Ramanandha Adigalar Auditorium.

In the occasion was also present B.K. Krishnaraj Vanavarayar, Chairman, Kumaraguru Institutions, M. Balasubramaniam, Correspondent, Kumaraguru Institutions Shankar Vanavarayar, Joint Correspondent, Kumaraguru Institutions and  J. Senthil, Principal, KCT.

 The Chief Guest in his address to the gathering emphasized that education should help students imbibe moral values and facilitate practice of ethics and values mindfully. The Chairman B.K. Krishnanraj Vanavarayar shared to the audience about Unity in Diversity, practice of no hatred, social concern, compassion and dream as some of the principles to follow to lead a life of self-worth and contentment.
