Discourse on Language & Literature at Dr. NGP Arts

Department of English, Dr. N. G. P. Arts and Science College conducted National Conference on Recent Discourse on Language and Literature at Seminar Hall VII in the college premises recently.

R.Vithya Prabha, Head, Department of English welcomed the gathering. Dr. Nalla G. Palaniswami, Chairman KMCHRET, Dr. Thavamani D. Palaniswami, Secretary, Dr. N.G.P Arts and Science College, Dr. O. T. Bhuvaneswaran CEO, KMCHRET presided over the function.

V.Rajendran, Principal, Dr. N.G.P Arts and Science College, P. R. Muthuswamy, Director Academics, Dr. N.G.P. Educational Institutions felicitated the gathering.

S.Gururaj, Regional Institute of English, South India, Bengaluru, inaugurated the conference and addressed the gathering on the topic “Multilingualism to Monolingualism: Are We Growing poor to be Rich?”

The technical session of the conference had both presenters and participants from around 20 different colleges in and around India. Prof. Anju Susan Kurian, Assistant Professor of English, C. M. S. College, Kottayam, Kerala was the keynote speaker for the post lunch session spoke on Re-thinking / Re-defining Feminism/s in India: Is It Time for a Paradigm Shift?

Deans of various portfolios and members of staff from various departments graced their presence for the conference. This conference aimed to procure the importance of Multiculturalism and also widen the view of Feminism.
