1200 participants run Race For 7 Marathon in Covai

PSG Hospitals joined hands with Organization for Rare Diseases, India (ORDI) and conducted RaceFor7 Marathon on March 3, 2019 (Sunday) to raise awareness about genetic diseases and to raise funds for the children who suffer from genetic disorders/diseases.

We learned that there are over 7000 genetic diseases in the world and there is only little amount of awareness about these diseases among the society. So the participants ran 7000 meters (7 Kms) to use their effort as a way of representing the less represented issues of the genetic disease sufferers

Narain Karthikeyan, famed Formula 1 Driver flagged off the marathon at 6.30 a.m. at PSG Hospitals. The chosen runway was by the side of GV Residency, Masakaalipalayam, Anna Nagar, Balan Nagar and then it ended at PSG Hospitals.  Around 1200 enthusiastic participants participated to support this noble cause. . It must be mentioned that the participants in the marathon included 7 year old children to 60 years old seniors. Medals, T-Shirts, Refreshments and participation certificates were provided.
