Bharatiyar University conducted its 35th Convocation Ceremony at the Auditorium. The event saw more than 88,762 students from various departments receiving their degrees including One D.Litt. The event also saw two blind students receiving their degrees. The Chief Guest for the program was Ajay Kumar Singh, Director-General, DRDO.
Other Dignitaries present on the occasion were Banwarilal Purohit, Governor of Tamil Nadu & Chancellor, Bharatiyar University, K.P.Anbazhagan, Minister for Higher Education, Govt. of Tamil Nadu ,Mangat Ram Sharma, IAS, Convener, Vice-Chancellor Committee, Principal Secretary to Government, Dept. of Higher Education, Govt. of Tamil Nadu and members of the Senate and Syndicate.
The graduates received their degrees from the Banwarilal Purohit, Governor of Tamil Nadu & Chancellor, Bharatiyar University.
