The Post graduate and Research Department of Biotechnology and Microbiology, Hindusthan College of Arts and Science organized an International Conference on “Agricultural Microbiome (ICAM 2019)” . The Conference was felicitated by Sarasuwathi Khannaiyann, Managing Trustee, Priya Satishprabu, Executive Trustee and Secretary, Hindusthan Educational and Charitable Trust and was presided by A.Ponnusamy, Principal, Hindusthan College of Arts and Science.
Alagu Sundaram, Deputy Director General, Division of Agricultural Engineering, Krishi Anushandan Bhawan, New Delhi delivered the Inaugural Address for the Conference. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Huseyin Baris Tecimen, Dept. of Soil Science and Ecology, Faculty of Forestry, Istanbul University, Turkey. He spoke on “Land Use and Nitrogen Mineralization in Turkey”, where he explained the effective use of Land resources in Turkey.
Jegan, Scientist, MS Swaminathan Research Foundation, Chennai delivered a special lecture on “Plant Microbiome – A Potential Source for Enhancing Soil Fertility”. D J Bagyaraj, INSA Hon Scientist & Chairman, Bengaluru delivered a Lecture on “Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi for Sustainable Agriculture”. As a special event of the Conference, Souvenir – Collection of abstracts was also published.
