Time to say thanks to the elixir of life

Dakshina Foundation is conducting Neeruku Nandri – Maha Aarthi Festival to offer gratitude to Water -elixir of human life.  The fest will be held at Bhavani  Kooduthurai on January 6 at 4.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. Offering thanks to those who have helped us  is the highest of virtues. Even our great poet Thiruvalluvar has expressed about this in several of his Thirukkural.

So to devote great many thanks to water and to promote the value of water among the society, this fest has been planned.

The event will be spearheaded by Guruji Mithreshiva, Founder, Dakshina Foundations.  In connection with this a press meet was organized recently by the foundation. Mithreshiva addressed the members of the press and said that Water like humans is a living being and the more we cherish this natural resource, the more will be its blessings. During the event, 101 Kalasams (pots) of water will be taken in a procession at 3.00 p.m.

Cultural events like Chendai Melam, special dances to glorify water, Shingari Melam and other traditional programs will also take place. Entry is free.
