Ola says Hola to Vogo; scooty sharing service imminent

Vogo will be the next brand name you will be talking about. Why am I so sure? Because… I believe in its approach. Let me tell you what Vogo is first, in a simple way: What is Ola to the car rental world is what Vogo aspires to become to the bike rental realm. Now let me brief you a little bit more. Vogo was founded in Bengaluru, Karnataka during 2016 by three young men Anand Ayyadurai, Padmanabhan Balakrishnan, and Sanchit Mittal. People can book a scooty via Vogo’s android app.  This start-up began to get good response and the business was found to have the potential to become the next big thing.

Now, we have information that Vogo will receive a massive $ 100 Million dollar investment from Ola. If this happens soon, it will really aid everyone. From office goer, to college students and most of all it will be of help to women. But like everything this has minor hiccups as well.  If Vogo goes nationwide like Ola, then it will have to see about its parking lots; which will be the biggest limitation to this wonderful concept. Vandalism cannot take place because Vogo collects the driver’s license, checks the GPS, mobile verification and several cross-checking processes will ensue only then can one touch the scooty. However, upon witnessing what some people in Coimbatore did to Ofo, I must say vandalism is not off the picture but it is only a minor hindrance.

Vogo primarily offers Scooty rental facility and as of now, there is no news whether they would introduce bikes. However, scooty will do for the urgency. Vogo is a needed concept because it is essential to myriad of office goers who lack bikes, be it men or women. Sometimes, the bikes we own may not start and we would wonder what to do. Imagine if we could simply book a Vogo. Wow, that’s what many would be waiting for.
